Principal's Report
It was fantastic to celebrate our Learning Showcase with our Grandparents and special visitors last Wednesday. The students were eager to show their learning and it was great to listen to them speak so proudly of all that they have achieved and their progress. K/1 then presented our Grandparents Mass, which was wonderful, and I am sure our Grandparents felt very loved. Fr Joe spoke of the important role that Granparent’s play in our childrens lives and the love between grandchildren and grandparents, and it was certainly very evident last week. A big thank you to our Grandparents, mums and dads and visitors for sharing lunch and a fabulous day with us.
Staff continued their Professional Learning in Literacy this week with a visit from CE Literacy Officer Gillian Forrester today. Gillian worked with K-2 teachers on implementing The writing revolution into their programs and presented a staff meeting to all staff.
The Remembrance Day service in Adelong on Saturday was small and intimate. A big thank you to Culley, Alice and Woody who participated in the service, read prayers and laid a wreath for St Joseph’s. It was great to have our students represent our school at this important community event.
Our second week of swimming is going well. The children have got their routines down pat and are loving their time in the water, especially in this warm weather. Thank you to Mrs Turnbull for running the swimming program.
Blessings for a great week.
