The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ – Corpus Christi
This Sunday, we celebrate Corpus Christi, which means "The Body of Christ." It is a special feast in the Church that is held two weeks after Pentecost.
On this day, we remember how Jesus gave us a wonderful gift at the Last Supper - the gift of the Eucharist. This is when the bread and wine at Mass become the Body and Blood. This sacred change is called transubstantiation, which means the substance of the bread and wine is changed into the substance of Jesus Himself.
Many thanks,
