Dear Parents and Carers,
We are over half way through Term 2! Winter has arrived and we have definitely experienced some very cold and wet weather this week. Please ensure your children have a jumper or coat with them at school every day. Especially on these cold wet mornings! If you could please make sure they also have their name clearly labelled.
Ski Trip
Students in Years 2-6 will have the opportunity to go on the Selwyn Ski Trip. We have attentively booked Thursday 11th August. We thank Adelong Op Shop who have generously offered to cover all costs for St Joseph’s Students. Further information will be sent out in the next few weeks.
Pupil Free Days
Just a reminder of the Pupil Free Days coming up on Friday 10th June and Friday 1st July. Staff will have Professional Development on these days.

Semester 1 Reports
Teachers are busy completing assessments and writing reports. Reports will be sent out to parents through COMPASS Friday Week 9, followed by parent / teacher interviews Week 10. We encourage all parents to book an interview with classroom teachers to gain further insight into your child’s progress and to discuss areas of strength and areas for improvement.
Parent/Teacher bookings will open on COMPASS on Tuesday 14th June and close on Sunday 26th June.
Have a lovely week,

Tuesday was the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Catholics celebrate the visit of Mary, with the Son of God in her womb, to her cousin Elizabeth who is pregnant with her son, John the Baptist. The Visitation is proclaimed as the Second Joyful Mystery in the Rosary.

Vinnies Winter Appeal
On Wednesday 29th June, St Joseph’s will be holding a ‘Winter Woollies Day’ to support the St Vincent De Paul Society’s fundraiser ‘Vinnies Winter Appeal’.
The Vinnies Winter Appeal is all about providing emergency relief to those at risk of/or experiencing homelessness. Vinnies would appreciate donations of ‘Winter Woolies’ such as gloves, socks, jackets, beanies, blankets or sleeping bags. All donations are then distributed through the homelessness and community services to directly support those who are most impacted.
Students are invited to wear a beanie or scarf with their school uniform on Wednesday 29th June to support the Winter Appeal.
Have a lovely week,

National Breast Cancer Foundation's 1 Min Plank Fundraiser

Winter Bites Festival - Adelong
The Winter Bites Festival is fast approaching and St Joseph's has been offered the opportunity to man the gates and scan tickets on the day. In return for our help, a donation of $1000 will be made to St Joseph's. We are also able to run a wood raffle to raise money for our school.
We are looking for people to help scan festival tickets at the gates and also sell raffle tickets throughout the day. All people who help man the gate will receive free entry into the event.
Please see below a link for the roster, including a space if you are able to help sell raffle tickets. There is also an area on the roster to make note if you are away or unavailable on the day.
This is a great opportunity to help raise money for the school whilst enjoying this fabulous event and all support is greatly appreciated.
* Volunteers must be over 18 years of age and are also required to attend a briefing session prior to the event starting.
