Dear families,
Welcome to wk 7, a nice short week this week. I hope that the long weekend provided everyone with some much needed down time.
It is currently our enrolment period for Kindergarten 2021. With COVID-19 restrictions it is not possible to open our school up to all new prospective families at this stage. Early in Term 3 we will schedule dates for Open Days, information evenings and our Orientation days. Enrolment packs are available from the front office. If you have a child that will be attending Kindergarten in 2021 I urge you to take an enrolment form and when complete hand to the office. Our staffing for next year will be reliant on confirmed Kindergarten enrolments, so it is really important to get them in as soon as you can.
Next Tuesday Mr Eamonn Moore Principal of McAuley Tumut, will head out to St Joseph’s to catch up with our current Yr 6 students. There is also a scheduled orientation day for potential yr 7 students in 2021 set down for the last week of this term. We look forward to his visit.
Have a great week.
Kind Regards,
Kirsty Beavan
On Sunday we celebrated the Feast of the Holy Trinity. It was wonderful to be back as a community to celebrate Mass in St James’ Church. In his Homily, Father George spoke of the Mystery of the Trinity – God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. While it is a difficult concept to explain, we evoke the Trinity every time we make the Sign of the Cross in readiness for prayer. Father also spoke of the meaning that we can take from the Trinity and apply to our own lives - unity, equality and love.
Trinity Prayer
Glory be to the Father,
Who by His almighty power and love created me,
making me in the image and likeness of God.
Glory be to the Son,
Who by His Precious Blood saved me,
and opened for me the gates of heaven.
Glory be to the Holy Spirit,
Who has sanctified me in the sacrament of Baptism,
and continues to sanctify me
by the graces I receive daily from His bounty.
Glory be to the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity,
now and forever.
Amen.
