Welcome to Week 7 – the first week of Spring and we are so grateful for the beautiful sunshine. It is so nice to step outside and enjoy the warmth, seems to make everyone have a smile on their face and be in good spirits!
Thank you to the families that filled out the parent satisfaction survey, your constructive comments will be used for future planning. One area that was unanimous was the dis-satisfaction with the reports for Semester 1, 2020. This information has been passed on to CE with the hope that when the reports are revised your comments and recommendations will be taken into consideration.
Each week the Principals award has a different focus. This term it has been the MJR focus of lessons presented, our new ways of being and positive behaviours that we wish our students to exhibit. This week the focus is for being a cooperative student on the playground. One of the many great things about the St Joseph’s playground is how the students play together from all different classes, so it is nice to acknowledge positive behaviour which we know happens on a daily basis.
Have a great week.

Students will return on Wednesday 14th October.
Staff will be attending two Professional Development days on Challenging Learning.
In Science, Yr 2/3/4 have been learning about viscosity. They filled cups with a hole in the bottom with different liquids (water, cordial, oil, dishwashing liquid and strawberry toping) and timed how long each liquid took to empty out of the cup.
Their results showed that water was the fastest liquid to empty and dishwashing liquid took the longest.
REMINDER: No Hat, No Play policy is in place all year round, a reminder that your child/ren need a hat for outside play.
If they don't have a hat they will need to sit under the tree.
