St Joseph's will have our school counsellor visiting every Thursday this year.

If you would like your child to see the Counsellor in 2021 please fill out the following referral form and return (this applies to existing and new student referrals).  Hard copies are available from the office. 

We are looking forward to our swimming carnival next Friday. 

All students will come to school as normal, Yrs 2-6 will walk down to the pool at around 9:15am, with K/1 students walking down at recess time.

Students are encouraged to bring lots of water, a hat and sunscreen.  They will also need to bring a rashie, towel, thongs, goggles etc and packed food for the day as we will not be supplying lunch.  Students can bring a small amount of money to purchase something at the canteen.

If you are available to help out on the day with time-keeping etc., that would be fantastic please let Mrs Beavan know.

Email details of new families

Our new families need to forward their email address through to our Community Council secretary on sjasecretary1@gmail.com so they can receive any correspondence forwarded out.

It is imperative to St Joseph's that we have up to date contact details for each family.  If your email, address, phone numbers, emergency contact person has changed during the holidays, please let us know so we can update our records.

All students who carry a Ventolin puffer in their school backpack will need to have a current Asthma Action Plan, we need to have these updated each year.  

Every student in Canberra/Goulburn Archdiocese schools signs an acceptable use agreement in order to use technology in their school.  The student agreement is for children in Kindergarten to Year Six. 

In each classroom, teachers will discuss an outline of all the responsibilities contained within the agreement with the students.

The school encourages parents to read through the agreement/s with their child/ren and discuss any issues that arise from this activity. Students are then required to sign the agreement and return it to school. Once again our BYOD program is for Years 2-6 only.

Hard copies of the agreement will be sent home next week, but we ask that parents plase download this policy and read through the agreement.
